Boy gatecrashes live BBC weather report with epic dance routine

A young boy became an unlikely TV star after he gatecrashed a live BBC weather report by doing the best dance routine in the background.

Unbeknown to weather reporter Jen Bartram at the time, the boy couldn’t help but show off some of his dance moves during the broadcast.

Jen was presenting the weather from a rather windy beach in South Shields as she gave viewers an update on the heatwave hitting some areas of the country.

During the report, the young boy casually strolls into shot where he began his hilarious dance routine, and obviously viewers were loving it.

He started his routine with a couple of T-shirt lifts before he turned around giving the audience a bum wiggle and some side steps.

It was only afterwards that Jen realised the young lad had stolen her limelight, but she didn’t mind at all.

‘I was unaware of being upstaged by the young boy with some rather enviable dance moves during my forecast,’ she tweeted.

And the weather presenter didn’t leave it there, as she decided to add some music to the clip.

To keep in time with his dance moves, Jen added Up & Down by Vengaboys and Tony Christie’s Amarillo to the video.

She added: ‘Here he is. Never mind me: the real star or the weather forecast was the dancing kid.’

Jen’s followers quickly responded to the clip, with some hailing the boy a ‘hero’.

One tweeted: ‘We were creased watching this on Look North yesterday. Priceless moment!’

Another commented: ‘I was watching yesterday, this kid had me in stitches! So funny.’

While one added: ‘Well done South Shields lad.’
