BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker is back with his co-host Louise Minchin after the pairing spent some time apart as Dan took a break from his hosting duties.

While viewers were a little concerned as he seemingly disappeared from the show, they're happier than ever to see him return next to Louise for the morning show.

As Louise confirmed his return to the show, she shared a snap of them on Twitter writing: "Good morning, back together with Dan Walker on BBC Breakfast to keep you company."

Fans flooded in to share their support for the pair as they expressed their happiness as Dan returned to the screen alongside Louise.

One user wrote: "The dynamic duo of morning news! You two always make my morning that bit happier."

While another said: "Ahh lovely Louise and Dan back on breakfast."

A third added: "Lovely to see you two again!"

Dan's return was certainly welcomed by fans of the show after his exit raised a lot of eyebrows earlier this month which saw questions flood in on why he wasn't on-screen.

Many viewers believed that Dan's disappearance was down to his Strictly Come Dancing debut was the reason for him taking a step back from hosting, but the speculation was put to bed.

Louise previously reassured fans that Dan would be back imminently and told fans not to worry, which saw Dan also add a response to the question.

Earlier this month he told a fan: "Back soon, just spending time with the family."

Speculation surrounded him taking a break from the show because he was rehearsing for Strictly, but he is firmly back and staying in his hosting seat prior to his dancing debut.

Earlier this month he took his co-star by surprise by popping up on screen via video link from his holiday location and confirmed he was the eighth celebrity to join the line-up.

Louise yelled at the time: "I don't believe it, Mr Walker. What I'm really annoyed about is that nobody has told me anything!

"I should have guessed as you've been away and not here."

Dan will be putting his dancing shoes on in a bid to attempt to win the Glitterball Trophy in 2021, but who will win the title?

BBC Breakfast returns tomorrow at 6am on BBC One.
