This weekend Ant and Dec are set to launch an ITV quiz show, the duo’s first new programme in around 10 years. The presenting pair will guide players through a series of numerical themed questions on Limitless Win. The unique quiz show has a limitless jackpot, meaning contestants can win life-changing sums of money. However, Dec has confessed the money element of the game caused him to have “sleepless nights” worrying they might run out of funds for the show.
Ant and Dec opened up about the launch of Limitless Win in an interview with Express.co.uk and other press.
“We create world television firsts with this,” Dec remarked, sharing his excitement for the new series.
The quiz sees players answer increasingly challenging questions and ascend a never-ending money ladder with each correct answer.
However, if contestant’s push their luck too far they could end up losing it all.
Dec went on to detail how Limitless Win stands out from other ITV quiz shows.
He said: “Most of the time quizmasters have the question in front of them with the answer and they are testing the contestants, whereas we’re on the journey with them.
“We are going along for the ride,” he said, explaining how they aren’t given the answers before the show.
The presenter insisted each episode of the quiz is “unique” as the game is played differently by each contestant.
Dec revealed: “Every game is different. It can take you to different places every single time.
“Every game is unique. No two games will be the same,” he added.
However, Dec confessed the most unusual element of the show is the limitless jackpot.
He explained: “At the end of the show, we don’t go ‘Okay, now it’s time to play for tonight’s grand prize’, because there isn’t one.
“Just as long as you stay in the game you could keep going and keep playing.
“And you know, that did give us sleepless nights sometimes,” he admitted.
Ant chimed in, joking: “We did worry we were going to bankrupt ITV!”
Dec remarked: “We did think, ‘Is it possible to cancel Tipping Point and The Chase?’
“We’d maybe have to call Andi Peters, he always seems to have loads of money.
“He’s always giving money away,” he laughed.
However, the pair confirmed that thankfully they didn’t run out of prize money while filming the series.
Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win premieres Saturday, January 8 at 8:30pm on ITV.
