'90 Day Fiancé': Eric and Leida Say TLC Threatens Cast With $50,000 Fine for NDA Breach

Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook are not 90 Day Fiancé fan favorites. As is the case for many reality TV villains, the couple feels they received an inaccurate, unfair edit.

Leida and Eric say they were portrayed unfairly on ’90 Day Fiancé’

“It starts on the show and it starts with portrayal. They remove context. In our season, between us and Tasha, they just removed the context completely and they put in their own narrative. They edited it in a way that explains it in a way they wanted it displayed. And if they would have played the whole conversation, it would have changed everything,” said Eric in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on July 4.

Fans will remember the drama between Leida, Eric, and his daughter, Tasha. Leida filed a restraining order against Tasha and Eric ended up kicking his then-teenage daughter out of the house. The incident didn’t sit well with fans.

Eric says, today, everyone’s at a better place, but he still doesn’t see his daughter very often.

“Some things that had been done during the dispute can’t be undone currently right now, unfortunately. Because the powers at be were like, ‘No, I’m not doing that.’ So the relationship is just kind of kept down low. We don’t really do much together,” he said.

In the same interview, Leida said 90 Day Fiancé producers urged her to act a certain way–”Like, ‘You got to bring the energy!’ Which is, ‘You gotta bring the drama.’”

“It was done without my knowledge, you know, convincing her to act a certain way,” said Eric.

Leida and Eric on their ’90 Day Fiancé’ contract

Leida and Eric made it clear that they felt controlled and manipulated by TLC during their time on the show and after, particularly because of the contract they signed.

“They threaten us with breach of contract and $50,000 every time you breach contract,” said Eric.

He continued: “If you break the NDA it’s $50,000 for each time, each incident. They’ll try to get you charged or whatever. And then if you just breach contract there’s other threats involved. I have to go back to the contract. But, at this point, we don’t even give a sh*t anymore,” he said.

The couple says they’re “done” because “once you sign for Happily Ever After, they basically own you.”

Eric says TLC has approached them several times to be on Happily Every After but they won’t do it.

“Once you sign that first Happily Ever After, it’s in there that they can pretty much pull you into anything they want. They own you for at least a while,” he said.
