It has been two decades since the pioneering MCs released the track 21 Seconds but it is still remembered as an iconic garage anthem.
The group, who originated from Winstanley Estate in Battersea, burst onto the scene from South London's pirate radio in the early 2000s.
So Solid Crew released their first album, They Don't Know, in 2001 and their second followed just two years later titled 2nd Verse, the group then went silent for a number of years before releasing their third and final album The Greatest Hits in 2013.
As 21 Seconds turns 20, Daily Star Online has looked back at their lives after the chart-topping single.
Ashley Walters, aka Asher D, one of the crew’s vocalists, has gone on to have a successful career as an actor.
A few years after 21 Seconds Asher D, now 39, starred alongside 50 Cent in Get Rich or Die Tryin in 2005, landing the lead role in drama movie Bullet Boy the year prior.
He won the British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 2004 and in recent years became well-known for playing kingpin Dushane Hill in drug dealer drama Top Boy.
The show originated on Channel 4 and went on to be picked up by Netflix for a third season after rapper Drake saved it from being axed.
Ashley went on to co-create Sky One’s Bulletproof with Noel Clarke where he played an NCA officer but it was cancelled this year in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Clarke.
In 2012 Walters had a brief return to music with the release of single Your Love with Alesha Dixon, but the song never made it onto the charts.
Another familiar face from So Solid Crew is Michael Harvey, aka MC Harvey.
After the crew’s success Harvey continued to pursue music and a solo career releasing his debut single Get Up and Move which reached number 24 in the charts.
Harvey has filled TV screens over the last 20 years, notably coming sixth in the tenth series of Celebrity Big Brother 2012.
In 2005 Harvey married Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon, becoming a fan favourite showbiz couple, but the pair split the following year after reported infidelity with Popstars; The Rivals contestant Javine Hylton.
Harvey later split from Hylton following more cheating claims, going on to marry dancer Ghamzeh Mahdizadeh in 2015, though he reportedly left pregnant Mahdizadeh two weeks after their wedding for actress Elarica Johnson.
Lisa Maffia, now 42, who shot to fame back in 2001, looked set to enjoy a successful solo career.
Her debut single, All Over, made it to number two on the UK charts and led her to setting up her own record label, Maffia Recordz, however, when her album failed to make the Top 40, she left her record label.
In 2012 she made a brief return to music as she collaborated with Peter Andre on his album Angels & Demons for the song X.
She has taken part in multiple reality shows including The Games, Celebrity Botched Up Bodies and Celebrity Coach Trip.
Her time on Celebrity Botched Up Bodies came after she made headlines in 2016 after revealing how she had been left with years of pain following her boob job, disclosing on the show that her surgeon had given her PIP implants.
In 2010 a scandal showed that the implants were more likely to rupture than normal because they were not made with medical-grade silicone.
Lisa opened up about her cancer scare last year after finding out she had abnormal cells that needed to be burned away that "could have turned cancerous", she said on her Instagram.
Last month she was rushed to hospital with extreme pain from endometriosis – a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, causing extreme pain – and fibroids.
Marvin Dawkins, aka Romeo, also enjoyed several stints on reality TV shows.
Dawkins pursued a solo career, where he enjoyed a top ten place in the charts for the single It’s All Gravy with Christina Millian released in 2002.
In 2012 he finished sixth place in the ninth series of Celebrity Big Brother and later took part in the TV show Fool Around With…Romeo where he was locked up with four girls and had to work out which of them was single for a cash prize.
The following year Dawkins rewrote the lyrics to 21 Seconds for insurance site Confused.com.
In an interview with NME Dawkins said: "It’s raising awareness with young boy racers about how important and easy it is to get insured. I’m doing it for a greater cause."
"I don’t think selling out comes into it."
Carl Morgan, So Solid Crew’s producer, who also appeared in the video for 21 Seconds, is currently serving a sentence in prison for murder.
In November 2004, Morgan was beaten up by Colin Scarlett who was with Morgan’s ex – also the mother of his two children.
Later that day Morgan returned to Tooting, South London, and shot Scarlett dead. Morgan is serving 30 years for the murder.
Judge Brian Barker told Morgan at his sentencing: "You expected eye witnesses would be cowed into silence and that ploy nearly succeeded."
Dwayne Vincent, aka Megaman also stood trial and spent a year in prison on remand for the murder of Colin Scarlett.
He was accused of encouraging Morgan to pull the trigger. Ultimately Vincent was found not guilty in 2006.
"Why would I want to go into music and make something for myself and still be a violent character on the streets? It doesn’t make sense." Vincent told the court during the 2011 trial.
Vincent told MTV UK that he will not let prison get him angry saying his hands are clean.
Years later, Vincent pleaded guilty to one count of affray following a mass brawl in a nightclub in Birmingham in 2012, saying he believed the man he hit was carrying a knife.
Onto more entrepreneurial pursuits, Vincent launched a clothing brand in 2013 called Cheats & Thieves.
In July Vincent took to Twitter to declare his support to venues who refused to take part in encouraging people to be vaccinated saying he would refuse to go to any venues that require a vaccine passport.
Anthony Melas has taken a more entrepreneurial route in his life.
Melas, as A.M. SN!PER/A!MS is now enjoying life in Ayia Napa where he has helped develop a Greek mythology-themed waterpark.
Maintaining his passion for music, he’s shot music videos in the WaterWorld park in Cyprus.
He owns his own marketing firm and enjoys a life of luxury now being the proud owner of a Ferrari 550 Maranello after seeing the car in Bad Boys 2 and it was his dream to own one.
