Prince Harry may need to start practising his best dance moves as Strictly Come Dancing champion Joanne Clifton sets her sights on partnering with the red-head.

Joanne, 38, who is currently starring as Morticia in the UK and Ireland tour of The Addams Family took home the famous Glitterball Trophy back in 2017 after dancing to victory with celebrity partner, Ore Oduba.

While Prince Harry and his royal relatives may have appeared in cameo clips on Strictly, the Latin ballroom star has revealed that should she return to the show, Harry, 37, would be her ideal partner.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star about her ideal royal partner, Joanne said: "I've always said that I'd like to dance with Harry because I've always fancied him a little bit, most probably Prince Harry."

Should Harry be unavailable, the Grimsby-born star admitted Karl Pilkington would be an ideal pairing.

"I think he would be absolutely hilarious to work with on it, you would give him a move and tell him the technique and he'd be like 'but why?'", she said.

Joanne continued: "It would be so funny I think, not in terms of his dancing because he might be amazing but in terms of working with him, I think it would be amazing."

After recently working with Arthr, a social venture powered by Versus Arthritis, the dancer who suffers from osteoarthritis revealed that her condition is "fine" as she continues to dance and move in moderation.

Despite her condition being kept under control, she revealed that ahead of the Strictly final in 2017, she was almost forced to pull out of the competition.

Explaining the situation, she said: "I knew from the doctor's advice that I shouldn't be doing stuff with impact but we were doing the Jive in the final, re-doing that and that's impact, jumping on the floor.

"Then I choreographed the show dance and I just had this big vision of some gigantic drums and I thought 'you know what? We're going to jump on them.'

"So we rehearsed a whole week of jumping on drums, going over and over it and that was my worst week, we got to the dress run and it was like 'Oh my gosh, am I going to be able to dance the live show?'"

She added: "I was with the physio, I had my knees strapped up, I had a dancer on hand, I think it was Karen [Hauer], who learnt my routines so if I couldn't dance the final, then she would step in but luckily I was able to do it!"

She explained that changes in the weather tend to affect her condition as the UK enters the winter period.

Joanne was keen to shut down claims that arthritis only affects "older people", saying: "We should make everybody aware that it can happen at any age."
