Ruth Langsford has accepted her figure after menopause ‘made her boobs bigger’

Ruth Langsford has revealed she accepts that her body has changed since the menopause – and that she isn't fussed about her hubby Eamonn Holmes joking about her weight.

The Loose Women and This Morning star, 61, said she has never been particularly confident about her shape but that she accepts that her boobs and the rest of her body have changed as she's got older.

She told Woman: "The menopause has changed my shape; my boobs are bigger, I'm generally just bigger, but it hasn't ruined my life."

"There's a certain amount of acceptance for me and if you have that, you don't battle with it," she said.

Ruth also defended her husband and TV partner Eamonn, who landed himself in hot water with viewers in February when he made a joke about her weight.

The pair – who have been married since 2010 – were playing the game It's Behind You on This Morning, which sees them having to identify someone who is being described.

Describing Kate Middleton, Eammon said she was "very thin", and quipped to his wife that that was "unlike" her.

The Irish presenter later made a joke about how someone would describe Ruth, teasing: "No one would ever say, she's very thin and married to Eamonn Holmes would they?"

However, Ruth told the publication that her hubby would never tease her like that if she didn't know that he was joking, saying that would be "horrendous".

She said the TV star, who she dated from the late 90s, always boosts her and tells her how gorgeous she looks, which is why he is able to crack those sorts of jokes.

And it's not the first time that Ruth has shared how complimentary her husband is.

Last year, she told Closer that after she reached 60 it was Eamonn who had helped her to accept her "wobbly bits".

"I definitely feel sexy at 60, but a big part of this is thanks to my husband," she said.
