Piers Morgan slams Prince Harry over vow to make world more equal for his kids
Piers Morgan has branded Prince Harry 'spoiled and privileged' after he vowed to make the world a better place for his kids, Archie, 3, and ten-month-old Lillibet.
When interviewed by child reporters at the Invictus Games, Harry said he will "never, ever, ever rest" until he has made the world better for the kids he shares with Meghan Markle.
Harry said at the event held at The Hague in the Netherlands he wants his brood to grow up "in a fairer, safer and more equal world".
He said: "It's not going to be easy but I will never, ever, ever rest until I have as a parent at least tried to make the world a better place for them because it is our responsibility that the world is the way it is now.
"I don't think that we should be bringing children into the world unless we're going to make that commitment to make it better for them. We cannot steal your future.
Piers, who has a long-running row with the pair, was quick to pick holes in the Duke's moving statement.
He retweeted the statement and wrote: "More equal? A spoiled privileged prince who inherited millions & now makes 100s of millions fleecing his royal titles from his $11m Californian mansion wants EQUALITY for his kids?"
Piers has often expressed his dislike of the former royals in angry rants.
In one of his most famous outbursts Piers said in March last year he didn't believe a word Meghan says after the couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey in which the Duchess opened up about her mental health.
Piers Morgan later quit as co-host of ITV’s breakfast show Good Morning Britain after his comments prompted an on-air row with a colleague and an Ofcom investigation.
Piers recently claimed tensions first became heightened between the pair when the Duchess "ghosted" him after they went out for drinks in 2016.
He alleged after they exchanged messages and enjoyed an afternoon together, she just "disappeared".
Piers told the Times: "I put her in a cab, she went to dinner in Mayfair, and I never heard from her again. It turned out she’d met Harry that night."
