Nick Cannon Set To Host Wild N’ Out’ Again After Being Fired Last Year

Nick Cannon has reconciled with ViacomCBS following his firing last summer and will return to host the show Wild N’ Out’, according to Variety.

Cannon was axed nearly seven months ago, following some ill-advised anti-Semitic comments. However, the network says the rapper and actor has taken responsibility and has worked to bring himself to a state of awareness where such sensitive matter is concerned.

“Nick has not only apologized and taken responsibility for his comments, but he has also worked to educate himself and others through engagement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms,” an MTV Entertainment Group spokesperson told said publication. “Those efforts are of the utmost importance and that’s why we have invited him to rejoin our team. On a separate note, we just learned that he tested positive for COVID and have reached out to wish him a speedy recovery.”

“You can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people,” Cannon said during a conversation with Professor Griff last year. “When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews.”

He later issued an apology, branding his statement “hurtful and divisive” and claiming to be ashamed of the “uninformed and naive place that these words came from.”

Cannon also sought out Rabbi Abraham Cooper, who vouched for the sincerity in his apology and revealed the 40-year-old had also expressed contrition upfront.

Cannon will return for the 16th season of Wild N’ Out’.
