TV presenter and radio host Maya Jama surprised stressed out London shoppers with early Christmas makeovers.

Maya opened her own pop-up beauty salon in London's West End on Wednesday, sharing her top tips on hair and makeup.

With a bit of Christmas cheer, lucky customers were able to get a makeover from Maya herself, including nail manicures complete with nail art accents.

Maya, 27, said: “Anyone who knows me, knows that I love glam, glitter and Christmas so I absolutely loved the idea of opening my very own beauty salon.

"It’s been very exciting getting the salon ready from picking the nail colours, talking about my favourite hairstyles to even sweeping the floor before the doors opened.

"It has been a real passion project, so much so that I was a bit nervous when the first customer came in.

“It’s been so fabulous seeing people leave with a big smile on their face, ready to show off their glam during Christmas party season."

The salon, named Jama & Drys, was opened in partnership with JD Sports and adidas, and celebrates JD Sports' latest Christmas campaign, King of the Streets which is a "who's who" of Brits currently shaping youth culture.

Maya Jama appears in the ad alongside gaming superstars KSI and Tobi, rappers Little Simz and Ms Banks, and England football stars Kalvin Phillips, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Leah Williamson.

Others stars to appear include Manchester United footballer Jadon Sancho and rapper Aitch.

The ad has been viewed more than 17million times on YouTube alone, with hundreds of thousands more views across other social media platforms.
