Leighton Meester gives birth as Gossip Girl star welcomes baby with Adam Brody
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has given birth to a baby boy.
Leighton, 34, welcomed her son with husband and OC actor Adam Brody, who described him as a "dream".
The excited dad confirmed the happy news as he appeared on Twitch show The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular to the seven other participants.
When someone acknowledged that "Adam, you have a new baby," the OC star revealed they had welcomed a little boy.
The 40-year-old said during the Hold The Phone Comedy channel series: ""I have a new – yeah, since last I played I have a new kid.
"I have a boy and he's a dream, he's a dream boy."
Leighton and Adam are already parents to four-year-old daughter Arlo Day.
The Hollywood couple met on the set of 2011 film The Oranges.
The pair were then married in a private LA ceremony back in 2014.
Leighton has previously called Adam her "soulmate."
Speaking to Porter Edit, she said: “I wouldn’t change anything [in the past] because I’m happy where I am now.
"I think that that’s one of the many wonderful parts of not only having a child and meeting your soulmate, but also I feel really lucky career-wise – really in a place that I want to be.”
Leighton, who played Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, displayed her baby bump during a family walk in Los Angeles back in April.
The mother of two was spotted out for a stroll sporting slouchy overalls, a grey t-shirt and Nike trainers, while Adam pushed Arlo in a stroller.
Leighton plays Angie D’Amato in ABC’s Single Parents, which her husband has guest starred in.
Speaking about their shared work schedule, Leighton told Entertainment Tonight Adam "is the baby daddy, in real life and not real life."
"Sometimes I'll be like, 'Oh yeah, I forgot I'm married to you,'" she said. "But it's been really nice having him here. He's very much a part of the family."
She also revealed that feisty Arlo told them " 'You've been at work for so long'" and "'Both of you guys can't work at the same time."
"It's like, I've been here for one day," Leighton said. "She's like, 'Both of you guys can't work at the same time."
Speaking to Us Weekly about motherhood earlier this year, Leighton said that she was taken aback by the rush of love for Arlo.
She said: "[You have them] and you’re like, oh, okay. I don’t love anyone else. I just love them.
"And I don’t even love myself as much as I love them! Not even close. I don’t know, would I kill somebody or die for them? Sure. I would."
