Kanye West Teases New Track "BELIEVE WHAT I SAY"

Kanye West has been taking to Twitter to announce everything from the music industry’s problematic practices to the adidas YEEZY 2020 footwear, and this time he dropped a snippet of an unreleased song entitled “BELIEVE WHAT I SAY.”

The 40-second preview arrives with a home video shot on a boat and hears West sample Ms. Lauryn Hill‘s 1998 hit “Doo-Wop (That Thing).” Only a few bars from the rapper can actually be heard in the snippet, but his line “Just one time for the record/Just one time for the record/Don’t agree with the message/Don’t agree with the methods” could be alluding to his fight against  Universal Music Group and publisher Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

Just like a majority of the snippets Ye shares on social media, it’s still unclear whether or not this will appear in his forthcoming album. The rapper’s next musical project DONDA, previously called God’s Country, was originally set to drop on July 24 but has been delayed ever since.

Take a listen to the preview of “BELIEVE WHAT I SAY” below and stay tuned for more info.8
