Justin Bieber has ‘beautiful energy’ after ‘hitting rock bottom’, says pal
Justin Bieber has had his fair share of run-ins with the law, paparazzi and his fans over the years but his years of drama appear to be behind him, according to Eddie Benjamin.
The Australian singer is currently on tour with his pal, performing to sold-out shows across America following the release of his single, Weatherman.
Justin has previously spoken of his struggles, admitting by the age of 19, he was doing "pretty heavy drugs," and "abused" the relationships he was in, adding: "I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world."
Eddie has exclusively opened up about his pal and his "beautiful energy", admitting that Justin is in a completely different headspace compared to that of his early 20s.
He said: "He's such a genuine and kind person, I think he's in a good space now and he's just enjoying it and being present.
"He's a beautiful energy to be around, he's worked so hard to be in this mind frame of positivity, I think he's hit rock bottom quite a few times and he knows.
"I'm honestly so proud of him because I know what he's been through and it's really intense and just seeing him in such a good headspace is really inspiring."
The singer-songwriter went on to say: "He was getting overworked, he was being absolutely pushed physically and mentally and I think he had to go through all that, honestly, the biggest thing I admire about him is the work he's put in to be so kind.
"Even being in the studio, he's like 'Man, I was a little p***k before, sometimes you get so angry and you don't know why'".
The star who is mentored by fellow Aussie, Sia went on to say: "My now girlfriend, the girl who was in her huge music videos, Maddie, she found me on Instagram and I'd done a Sia cover.
"I'd got in from the beach and went on Instagram and saw she'd posted, I was like 'Holy sh*t, this is crazy', the next LA trip, I went over and visited, we started talking, we became really close and she became a great mentor.
"Any time I need to talk, she's always there for me, her energy is special, I've spent so much time with her and being in that family, she's a beautiful person, she's a mother-like person.
"She goes through her own sh*t too and seeing how she deals with it is beautiful, she's an amazing and intense woman."
He added: "She's been through so much in her career, she values her own privacy and being able to observe that is great.
"One of the best pieces of advice she's given me is to keep the circle tight, she gets so emotional coming to my shows, she came to my show in LA and she knows how hyper-sensitive I am, I think putting yourself out there and being an artist is a crazy thing, she's very protective and tells me to keep my circle small."
