Drake’s Music Video for ‘Knife Talk’ Ft. 21 Savage and Project Pat Has Halloween Vibes

The track, which arrived in early September along with the Canadian MC’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’, is supposed to go on 21 Savage’s new album, according to Pat.

AceShowbiz -It’s never too late for Drake to celebrate Halloween. On Thursday night, November 4, the Canadian emcee treated fans to a creepy music video for “Knife Talk” featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat.

The visual, which is directed by Pablo Rochat, is inspired from old horror films. It includes footage of zombies and talking dolls, murder scenes and some grainy security cam clips of the three rappers brandishing large kitchen knives.

Some bars in the track are lifted from Pat’s lines on Juicy J‘s 2017 song, “Feed the Streets”. “I gotta feed the streets, my pistol gon’ bleed the streets/ Ski mask on my face, sometimes you got to cheat/ To stay ahead (Gang) in this b***h-ard, drank syrup-like its Liquor/ Street life, I have you catching up to god quicker,” he raps.

“Sticker, Ak-40 to your liver/ Let the choppa bang on your like a blood or criper,” Pat further rhymes. “Flipper, so much bread, I’m a gymnast/ So much money off of dummies, off of dummies (Yeah, gang).”

“Knife Talk” is one of the tracks off Drake’s sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy”, which arrived on September 3. Later that month, Pat divulged that the song was “supposed to go on 21 Savage’s album.”

In an interview with 360 Plug Hype, Pat disclosed, “Really man, it was a track that was done and Metro Boomin, that’s my guy too, he hooked it up. He had the track, it was supposed to go on 21 Savage’s album but it didn’t make it.” He added, “And then Drake got it, man, and he gave me that Drake blessing.”

In addition to “Knife Talk”, Drake’s latest record includes other 20 tracks that feature collaborations with Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Giveon, Jay-Z, Travis Scott (II), Tems, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Kid Cudi. Nicki Minaj‘s background vocals are also featured on the album’s “Papi’s Home”.
