Disappointed Iggy Azalea Forced to Cancel Tour Due to ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

Iggy Azalea will no longer be hitting the road to support her latest EP “Survive the Summer”. Live Nation has confirmed in a statement that the five-week tour has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The Australian raptress also confirmed the sad news on Twitter on Sunday morning, October 7, expressing her disappointment. “Believe me I was really excited for this tour… and I’m genuinely disappointed it can’t happen this year. The choice was out of my hands and not my call to make. I hope I will get to see you all in person one day. I love you,” she wrote.

Even though she was discouraged, she appeared to be taking it in stride. “All I can do is keep puching, keep recording and keep a smile on my face,” she added in another tweet.

Refunds are available at points of purchase.

Iggy’s North American tour, her first headlining trek in the territory in four years, was supposed to kick off on October 27 in Hollywood, Fla. And wrap on December 4 in Houston. CupcakKe was initially scheduled to join her on the tour, but she pulled out on Tuesday, October 2, citing “change of plans.” She detailed her exit from the tour on Saturday, October 6.

“Listen y’all , I went from getting paid 330k on this tour to 30k that’s what I mean by ‘change plans’….,” she explained on Twitter. “THIS WAS NOT IGGY THAT CHANGED PLANS !!!! It was the ones that put it together !!!!! Iggy knows I love her …. I just need that bag IN FULL that’s all.”

This isn’t the first time Iggy has canceled a tour. Back in 2015, she also pulled the plug on her “Great Escape” tour, which had Nick Jonas and Tinashe as supporting acts.
