Christine McGuinness ‘accused Paddy of flirting with lookalike’ before split

Christine McGuinness allegedly accused Paddy of flirting with a blonde "lookalike" before the couple decided to split.

The Sun reports that Christine was told by pals that Paddy had been getting up to no good, and also that Christine found out about an alleged snog involving her hubby while she filmed for ITV's The Games earlier this year in April.

They also reported that a month later while filming more of the popular programme, she was told about different allegations.

Rumours began to swirl that there was a second girl – who apparently was a "blonde lookalike" who looked like Christine.

A source then claimed to the paper that Christine was "furious" about the lookalike and was "convinced that at the very least there was an attraction there.

Adding that she felt "hurt and betrayed" and went on to pretend that she didn't know anything, the source says that she didn't want react so she could figure out what to do about the situation.

Daily Star has reached out to Christine and Paddy's representative for comment.

This comes after on Friday (July 22), the model shared a lengthy statement confirming the couple, who had been married for 11 years, had decided to part ways.

Putting rumours to bed and announcing the news to her loyal legion of fans, she wrote: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

"This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children."

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star went on to reveal that although the showbiz couple have separated, they will continue to live together in their family house.

She added: "We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.

"We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life.

"Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We'll be making no further comment. Loads of love. Paddy & Christine."
