Ant Middleton defends Holly and Phil over ‘queue skip’, says ‘leave them alone’
Ant Middleton has taken to social media to hit back at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s critics, after the pair were seen to have “jumped the queue” to see the Queen lying-in-state.
The This Morning presenters received widespread backlash for their actions, that spready quickly on social media.
The former Chief Instructor on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, 41, called for the public to give the presenters “a break”.

He tweeted: “Give Phil and Holly a break! You don’t want ‘Celebs’ to be treated differently to the general public (I agree).
“But yet you also want them held accountable to propaganda, hearsay and every word they say! They ARE treated differently and trust me when I say in a disadvantaged way! #ShoeFoot.” (sic)
It transpired that Holly and Phil had skipped to the front of the queue in order to film a segment for This Morning.
However plenty of people were not happy with the move, after other celebrities such as David Beckham were spotted in the 12-hour queue alongside members of the public.
Ant’s followers shared their thoughts on the situation, with many quick to disagree, with one writing: “Times and places though Ant, I agree celebs are held accountable and sometimes for the worse in the spotlight….
“But sorry but that wasn't the time to be treated differently in my opinion.”

A second commented: “Disagree with you on this one Ant. They could have easily refused anything. David Beckham is a shining example.”
A third argued: “Disagree mate, should of joined the queue like everyone else, because they are on TV should not be above everyone else.”
However, some agreed with the military man's sentiments, with one penning: “Another great reply Ant… Their every move is scrutinised and the press just report to suit themselves!!”
A second added: “Totally agree Ant. They are just doing what they have been asked to do, people just like complaining unfortunately.”
