Don Cheadle teases Marvel fans over Avengers 4's title
It’s not just Mark Ruffalo who can troll Marvel fans over the Avengers 4 title that everyone is desperate to find out.
Asked by a fan on Twitter for a “hint on the title”, Cheadle didn’t go with Ruffalo’s elaborate ruse that involved a talk show and a ‘firing’ from the Russo Brothers. Instead, he stuck with some wordplay in his response.
“I shouldn’t do this, but because I love you all so much I’ll give you a hint. The title will incorporate letters that will be organised in a coherent fashion with the express purpose of communicating to the consumer the content of the film. (I’m [in] so much trouble…),” he joked.
Cheadle might not have actually revealed anything, but you can’t accuse him of lying.
The Russo Brothers confirmed over the weekend that filming had wrapped on Avengers 4, posting a cryptic photo on Twitter that led to the expected fan speculation.
We’re still no closer to learning the actual title of Avengers 4 and Marvel boss Kevin Feige previously revealed that we’d have to wait until after the Captain Marvel teaser launched, which we’ve now had.
Technically, that means the title could drop any moment now, although we reckon there will be some kind of build-up and announcement.
Avengers: Infinity War is out now on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download. Avengers 4 will be released in the UK on April 26, 2019, and in the US on May 3, 2019.
