Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher announces he and wife Liz are expecting third child
Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has announced that he and his wife Liz are expecting their third child.
The former Strictly Come Dancing champion revealed in a statement to PA news agency: "There's no question that for the Fletcher family the best thing to come out of 2021 is the news that we are expecting again.
"We are feeling extremely grateful and can't wait to meet the new addition to our family."
Kelvin, 37, and wife Liz married in 2015 and the pair are already parents to five year old daughter Marnie and three year old son Milo.
The loved-up pair met when they were children. In fact, the couple shared their first kiss when Eliza was only eight years old.
They grew up just streets apart in Royton, Lancashire, but they only got together two years after she had finished university.
They wed in a lavish ceremony, reportedly costing £55,000, at London's One Mayfair, a year to the day he had proposed.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, Kelvin previously said: "We're pretty sure Liz fell pregnant on our wedding night. We then flew to Rome for three nights. Little did we know, there were three of us on our honeymoon!
Meanwhile, it has been a busy few years for Kelvin, who competed on Strictly Come Dancing, replacing Jamie Laing in 2019, who was forced to drop out after injuring himself before the live shows began.
The soap star won the Glitterball trophy alongside his dance partner Oti Mabuse.
However, Kelvin recently he had struggled to find work after his big win.
He said during an Instagram Live in October: "A friend of mine, an actress, just messaged me and said, 'I can't even get a f***ing self-tape.'
"So I know how frustrating those little selfies are, because I've been that person thinking, 'Even they are working now.'
"Let me tell you, I've had about 10 nos in these last few months."
After struggling to find work, the star finally bagged his own BBC television show, Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.
Three years before appearing on Strictly, Kelvin quit Emmerdale after twenty years.
Speaking on his decision to leave the soap, he explained: "My time came now. It's a decision I have pondered on for about 18 months. About 12 months ago I made the decision to leave, with no discredit to the show – if anything it was because of their creativity which has given me a sense of confidence and I believed I could go on and do something else."
