Sharon Gaffka ‘didn’t like her face’ in first reaction to getting lip fillers dissolved

Sharon Gaffka has spoken out on getting her lip fillers dissolved, sharing intimate details on why she chose to get it done, what the procedure was like and her initial reaction to her new image.

The 26 year old, who recently had treatment to get her eyebrow tattoo pigment removed, opened during an exclusive chat with OK! Online, where she explained she's on a "journey" to reverse some of the cosmetic procedures she's had done.

"I'd been thinking about it for a while and I think that I've kind of been on this whole journey of reversing things that I've had done," she explained.

Sharon continued: "I had my microblading removed as well. I think it was just a bit more for me. There's always that fear that once you start doing stuff you get carried away and you do too much.

"Even though the only place I had filler was in my lips, I just wanted to give it a bit of a break and see how I feel about not having it."

The former Love Island star went on to speak on the procedure to getting lip fillers dissolved as she explained it wasn't "painful" but there was an element to it she didn't enjoy.

She shared: "It actually wasn't painful, I think the one thing I really don't like about having any procedure is the sound it makes. When you have microblading, it sounds like someone's tearing paper really close to your ear and when you're having lip filler dissolved, you can hear it going through the layers of skin, which is pretty grim."

"When I left the clinic, I had a lot of swelling because there's obviously a lot of fluid in your face. My mouth was massively swollen because I had all this extra fluid put in there. I think for the first 24 hours I looked really weird."

Sharon said it takes a few weeks for the lips to fully heal as the dissolving solution can take some of the natural hyaluronic acid in your lips, which gives the natural plump of the pout.

"The first day was a bit of a shock because there was such a drastic difference to your face. Trying to navigate how I was supposed to put make up on or trying to navigate how I wanted my make up to look was a bit awkward," she said.

Sharon, who recently details her broken heart after going through a "whirlwind" romance, then admitted what she really thought of her reflection on the first day as she said: "I remember getting ready to go to Stormzy and I remember being like, 'I don't like my face, I don't like how it looks at the moment'.

"But it's realising that it's such a big change."

While she's "settled into" her new lips, she's a "very indecisive person" and wouldn't rule out getting lip fillers done again in the future.

"With age, you never know what you'll decide to do. But in this moment in time, I'm not really thinking about [getting it done again]."
