BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent has taken to Instagram to warn her colleague Dan Walker to “watch out” as she followed in his footsteps by taking to the dance floor. The newsreader, 50, posted a snap of herself with Dan’s Strictly Come Dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova, as he responded jokingly to the “mutiny” that was going on in the dance studio.

In view of her 48,100 followers, Sally told how she had been dancing with the Ukrainian-Slovenian star in preparation for Robert Burrow’s new initiative, the Strictly Come Dancing Ball.

Sally wrote: “Spent a lovely day with @nadiyabychkova learning how to dance.

“Watch out @mrdanwalker I think she prefers me,” she added with a wink face emoji.

She continued: “We are all getting ready for the @burrowstrictlyball next month.

“I will be terrible but doing it for the one and only #robburrow @rob7lindsey

“Ps pic two is my favourite x,” Sally ended her post.

The first pictures showed Nadiya and Sally hugging as they posed for the snap following rehearsals.

The second photo also featured Dan as the trio larked about on the dancefloor.

Responding to the snap, Dan penned: “This is mutiny @nadiyabychkova,” followed by a laughing face emoji.

Nadiya also commented: “You are a natural dancer, beautiful lady.”

Following the snap, Sally’s followers took to the comments section, excited at the prospect of seeing her on the dance floor.

Claireliddy1 wrote: “Can’t wait to see the frock! Please don’t do the [lobster] though Sal,” referencing Dan’s signature dance move.

However, others were convinced that the BBC star would appear on the popular dance show this year.

Liftonmark penned: “This will be your year Sally on strictly.”

While Laurence9772 added: “Strictly beckons Sally, you will be [thumbs up emoji].”

Nadiya also posted the snap to her account, causing Dan to respond following her caption.

She cheekily told her 135,000 followers that she had a “real treat last week when I got to dance with my favourite @bbcbreakfast presenter”.

Dan was quick to react to the apparent snub and added that he was going to ask if Janette Manrara was available to dance.

He replied: “Now hold on a minute,” followed by a laughing face.

“I might try and see if my favourite dancer @jmanrara is free,” he added.
