Royal Family tweets, then deletes typo of Eugenie’s husband’s name
There was a royal mishap before Princess Eugenie‘s big day.
On Thursday, the day before Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter said, “I do,” to Jack Brooksbank, the Royal Family’s Twitter account misspelled the groom’s name in a tweet that has since been deleted.
In a screenshot captured by Buzzfeed, the message read: “Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jacksbrook have invited people from the charities they support onto the grounds of Windsor Castle tomorrow — to help them celebrate their wedding day.”
Commenters were quick to notice the error, though the tweet remained up for 40 minutes. It was taken down and replaced with a correct version, according to the site.
Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot on Friday at Windsor Castle.
Newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with Prince William and Kate Middleton, were among the many British celebrities in attendance.
