Piers Morgan's son Spencer 'escapes' tier 4 restrictions as he heads to Sussex
Piers Morgan’s son Spencer has revealed he managed to ‘escape’ being stuck in tier 4 restrictions by heading to his family’s Sussex home.
On Sunday new restrictions came into force in London and the South East in a bid to control the spread of a new strain of coronavirus.
Those in tier 4 saw Christmas bubbles cancelled, as they are now prohibited from mixing households over the Christmas period and must stay home.
People in tiers 1, 2 and 3 are now only allowed to mix with one other household on Christmas Day, with the original plan for bubbles of up to three households being allowed to mix between December 24 and 28 being scrapped.
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement outlining the new rules on Saturday, many in tier four areas headed elsewhere before the new restrictions were implemented a day later.
Spencer, 27, revealed that he managed to avoid being in tier 4 ‘just in time’ as he told his followers on Twitter that he had relocated to Sussex for Christmas.
‘And then of course I bounded into the taxi having been distracted with my conversation with the paparazzi and they immediately descended like a pack. Lit up the cab with flash bulbs and it was only as I pulled away, that I realised I forgot to put my mask on and therefore designated myself as a Covidiot.’
Holding his hands up, Piers added: ‘No excuses, it’s a fair cop gov… I put it on a few seconds later, I was nailed, it was too late and I can only apologise.’
