Our Yorkshire Farm follows shepherdess Amanda Owen, 46, and her nine children on their family farm. However, the star of the show has revealed her kids are not very bothered about the popularity of the Channel 5 show.
Each week, viewers tune in to catch Amanda, her husband Clive Owen and their nine children on Channel 5.
The series Our Yorkshire Farm follows the family as they go about their daily business at their Ravenseat farm.
However, despite the children playing a huge part in the show, Amanda has admitted they’re not that bothered about it.
She made the admission during a recent chat with the Sunday Express as she was asked if they watch the series as a family.
Amanda replied: “Yeah, we do. I love the casual disinterest from the children.
“It’s not that they don’t like it – they can’t fathom why it’s even a thing.”
Amanda and Clive have nine children together, ranging in age from four to 20.
The oldest is Raven, 20, who is at university, followed by Reuben, 17, who is doing an apprenticeship.
Amanda also parents Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, 10, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmie, five, and Nancy, four.
She’s shared plenty of insights into their family life in the past, including snaps of them all watching the show together.
This included a picture on her Instagram of all of the children and Tony the pony in front of the TV screen.
Alongside this, she wrote: “I don’t think that you can ever get used to this. Television.”
She also admitted when a fan replied that three of the kids fell asleep while watching the show.
During her chat with the Sunday Express, Amanda shared how she manages to keep on top of parenting her nine kids.
She explained: “There’s always someone screaming at me.
“I’m never still, I’m always walking about and my mind is like a browser window with tons of tabs open.
“However, once I get out of the farmhouse I’m untouchable.
“Everybody should have spaces where they’re free from connection.
“Technology is marvellous, but we all need headspace, too.”
Our Yorkshire Farm airs on Tuesday evenings on Channel 5.
This series has eight episodes in total and it’s repeated on Saturday evenings as well.
