Mossimo Giannulli Was Released from Prison Early

Mossimo Giannulli, father to Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, has been released early from prison, People reports. Sources close to the family noted that he hasn't reunited with his wife or children yet, though he is expected to finish the remainder of his five-month sentence at home for his involvement in the college admissions scandal. Giannulli reported to a federal prison in Lompoc, California, near Santa Barbara, back on November 19, 2020. He was sentenced to five months.

"Lori is relieved that he was released from the prison. Mossimo is still in federal custody though," a source said.

"He is expected to serve the remainder of his sentence at home," the Associated Press added.

Records indicate that Giannulli remains under the supervision of Long Beach's Bureau of Prisons, which manages inmates under home confinement. Giannulli is scheduled to be released from home confinement on April 17. In May 2020, he "pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud," People notes.

The magazine adds that Giannulli requested to serve his prison time at home back in January. The request noted that he'd spent 56 days in quarantine as a precaution for the COVID-19 pandemic and that it had "taken a significant toll on his mental, physical, and emotional well-being."

Giannulli began his prison sentence a month after his wife, Lori Loughlin, began her prison time in Dublin. She was released (also early) in December.
