Michael Owen’s wife Louise celebrates Love Island daughter Gemma as she reaches milestone
Michael Owen's wife Louise led the birthday tributes to their eldest daughter Gemma on Monday, as the former Love Island finalist turned 20 years old.
Sharing a picture of herself and the birthday girl out at a restaurant, Louise wrote a sweet message in the caption as she detailed her pride of the young reality star.
She shared: "Happy Birthday Gem, I’m proud of everything you have done and everything you’re doing. Love you more than words "
While former football ace Michael followed suit by posting a solo photograph of Gemma and simply added: "Happy Birthday to my eldest daughter"
Appearing to enjoy a low-key day to mark the beginning of her twenties, Gemma shared a picture from home while spending time with her horses and dogs.
She resides with her parents in their £4M Cheshire mansion, spending the day at their on-site stables as she appeared to keep it relaxed.
But the star did ensure to treat herself to some gifts, sharing a picture to her Instagram Story of a box from Net-A-Porter and some flowers, writing: "Little present to myself".
She shot to fame by appearing on Love Island last year, is now an ambassador for PrettyLittleThing and boasts a whopping two million followers on Instagram.
Alongside appearing on the ITV2 dating show and subsequently bagging second place with ex-boyfriend Luca Bish, she is also an international dressage rider.
The star is one of Michael, who is a famous former England striker, and Louise's four children, alongside siblings James, 16, Emily, 14 and Jessica, 12.
And Gemma recently hinted at a return to TV alongside her famous family, admitting that she wouldn't rule it out.
Gemma said to the Daily Star: "I mean, at the moment, I'm not sure. I think my family, like my brothers and sisters are still quite young.
"So yeah, never say never, but I think at the moment it would be a bit unfair to put my younger sister in that position in the spotlight.
“Because, you know, if I saw them getting trolled and nasty comments towards them, then I feel like that wouldn’t be nice and they would worry about it. So I think for now, as they’re still sort of growing up, we’ll probably keep them quite sheltered from everything.”
