Matt Baker, 43, took to Instagram to thank his fans for tuning into the first series of their show, which recently concluded on Channel 4. In view of his 280,000 followers he added: “We keep getting asked one specific thing…”
He then turned the camera onto his dad Matthew, who revealed they had continuously been asked whether there will be another series of the show.
Announcing his happy news, Matt went on to say: “I can tell you now there isn’t just going to be another series, but two new series of Our Farm In The Dales.”
The Countryfile star added they had also been filming for a Christmas special of the show.
“I love Christmas, I can’t wait,” his wife Nicola Moon added, excitedly.
Matt went on to mock his dad’s beard, as he referred to him as Santa Clause.
The father-of-two added that they had been filming for the new shows for quite a while already.
Turning the camera onto his mum Janice, he said she was back in the field where she belonged, following her injury.
Matt went on to ask fans what they would like to see more of in the new series.
He concluded his post, adding: “All will be revealed on More 4 later on in the year, but for all of us, for now from the Dales, bye!”
Many of his fans flocked to his post to express their excitement for the new shows.
Russell Davies commented: “Ahh amazing! Congratulations.”
A second wrote: “Yay, lovely family. I’ll be happy to see any part of your lives, keep it lovely and real as you always do.”

The series gave fans a look into an emotional period of Matt’s personal life.
The farmer moved his wife Nicola and their two children to his childhood county of Durham to help his parents run the family farm.
Matt stepped in to keep the day to day operations running and to make the farm a safer place following his mum’s accident.
Janice suffered serious injuries after falling and being trampled on by her flock.
She was taken to hospital and had to undergo knee replacement surgery.
Ater the ordeal, she agreed that changes had to be made to the farm including a new flock.
