Madonna resumes tour rehearsals but ‘very much still’ in recovery
Madonna celebrates 40th anniversary of her first album
Madonna, 64, officially restarted rehearsals Monday for her highly anticipated Celebration Tour after her serious hospitalisation in June.
The Like a Virgin hitmaker has reportedly taken over the Nassau Coliseum in New York City for two months to prepare for the global tour.
The hitmaker has also reportedly splashed out on a UK venue to rehearse ahead of her first night at London’s O2 Arena on October 14.
A source told The Sun: “She is very much still in recovery but Madonna has been chomping at the bit to get back to rehearsals.
“Not only has she hired the Coliseum in New York but she’s also hired out a second venue in London for the final week of dress rehearsals.

“Normally she would like to have the final week in the same venue she kicks off in but due to Blink 182’s comeback gigs at the O2 her team won’t be able to get access until the day before.”
Due to the tight schedule, Madonna will only have less than 48 hours until show time after gaining access to the venue.
This good news comes after Madonna admitted she “realised how lucky she is to be alive” following her serious health scare.
The hit singer was given an injection of the drug Narcan to combat acute septic shock before she was rushed into hospital, reported Radar Online.

In the months that followed Madonna had been bedridden as she remained “weak and very tired” following the ordeal.
Last month she gave her fans an update on Instagram, announcing that she was slowly able to dance again.
She captioned the video of her dancing to her 1984 hit Lucky Star: “To be able to move my body and dance just a little bit makes me feel like the Luckiest Star in the world!
“Thank you to all of my fans and friends! You must be my lucky stars too!”
Just last week the hitmaker wowed in a black corset on Instagram as she teased her return to the stage.
She teased: “All dressed up and Nowhere to go. But Soon, Very Soon, I’ll be travelling to you. #celebrationtour.”
The Vogue singer announced in January that she would be going on a worldwide tour to honour her 40th year in the music industry.
It was planned to kick off July 15 in Vancouver at the Rogers Arena, however, due to Madonna’s health issues it will now start in Europe in October.
