Lucy, who is promoting WaterWipes' Early Days Club for new parents needing support, said: "I know it sounds silly, but kindness is so important.

"Just saying, 'I'll cook tonight' or 'thank you' and really just appreciating each other can go a long way because you are tired. Giving each other a hug and a bit of support is what's working for us."

The stunning star confessed that it wasn't easy for them to adjust to their new roles as parents to Roman, nearly-five months old, while in lockdown though.

Lucy, who recently shared health fears for her son Roman as he "screamed" and had a "stiff body", explained that Ryan felt horrible that he wasn't able to do more while she breastfed their son almost every hour due to his "severe tongue tie" condition.

She said: "I think it's been quite tough on Ryan, especially at the beginning because obviously I'm breastfeeding and he watched me be tired all the time because I was breastfeeding every hour. He couldn't help.

"Now he does a dream feed, which is basically Roman's night feed, and he does that for me. That helps me so much. You have to be a bit of a tag team.

"It takes a while to get through things but I think we've cracked it now."

While she and Ryan, who is also dad to daughter Scarlett, have definitely gotten into a healthy routine together, Lucy also seeks help from both her legion of Instagram followers as well as an online support group by WaterWipes.

"The idea of WaterWipes Early Days Club is just to bring parents together to talk all things parenting – the good, the bad, the messy," she said.

"A lot of the times, especially if you've had a baby in lockdown, it's hard work sometimes. Sometimes you think, 'Is it only me that this has happened to?' but you realise that it's not just you, everyone goes through the same things.

"It's light-hearted and funny, but we also speak about our struggles in lockdown as well because it is a very different way to bring a baby into the world.

"One moment you feel very isolated so it's great to get a bit of support from people."
