Love Island’s George and Mollie become step-siblings after parents meet on show set and marry
A newLove Islandcouple has been revealed, and it may not be one that you’re expecting.
Both George Tasker, 23, and Mollie Salmon, 23, entered this year’s villa during the Casa Amor twist, and while theymay have found some life-long friends, neither managed to find love during their time on the show.
However, where the pair may have been unlucky-in-love, it seems the opposite is true for their parents.
Since the show’s end rumours began to swirl that George and Mollie had become an item, but these claims were put to bed when George took to Instagram to explain the situation.
During an Instagram Q&A he told fans: “So basically, absolute madness, my mum has married Mollie's dad.
“So now we are stepbrother and stepsister, which is mad.”
He added: “They met at the reunion about a month ago and since then got engaged and got married.”
Mollie and George both turned heads during their brief time on the show, with Mollie first flirting withLuca Bish, and then sharing some kisses, and a bed withDavide Sanclimenti.
Meanwhile, in the other villa, George claimed that things got hot and heavy withEkin-Su Cülcüloğlu .
The pair’s short time on the show came to an end when Davide and Ekin-Su chose to remain together, and ultimately went on to win the show.
And while Ekin-Su has admitted to sharing a bed with George, she’s actually denied his claims that anything happened between the two of them.
And prior to appearing on the reunion show, George hadboldly claimed that he would break-upEkin-Su and Davide.
On Instagram Live with his now-stepsister Mollie, and Samuel Agbiji the trio had been discussing who they hoped would win the show.
With George piping up saying: "They'll win and then I'll break them up at the reunion", as the other two laughed.
It was unclear what exactly had happened between George and Ekin-Su during their time in Casa Amor, after the pair shared a bed together – information that did not go down well later on with Davide when he found out in the Movie Night episode.
However the 23 year old has since claimed: “Her hand was in a place it shouldn't have been, my hand was in a place it shouldn't have been… Not for that long, but the line was crossed, that's all I'm saying.”
