Louise Redknapp, 46, divulged that her now ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, 47, wanted another baby during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016. It comes after reports emerged that the football pundit is expecting a child with his girlfriend Frida Andersson.
In 2016, Louise spilled in a recently unearthed interview that Jamie wanted to add to their family when she was competing in Strictly with Kevin Clifton, before their split in 2017.
The former Eternal singer also shared that the pair hoped to have a baby girl if she fell pregnant again.
Louise discussed her and Jamie’s family plans while addressing the fact that her Strictly partner Kevin danced with both Frankie Bridge and Kellie Bright, who went onto expect babies with their partners after the show ended.
The star told The Sun at the time: “Two of [Kevin Clifton’s] previous partners have got pregnant after the show. Bring that one on.
“Maybe he’s the good luck charm I need to get that girl I really want.
“Jamie would love another baby, I’m not getting any younger so we’ll see what happens.
“But I’m in Strictly shape now so we’ll see.”
Following their divorce in 2017, Jamie and Louise co-parent their sons Charley, 16, and Beau, 12.
Louise has reportedly told friends that she only found out about Jamie and Frida’s baby news through family members, according to a source.
A source claimed: “Louise was knocked sideways by the news.
“Jamie didn’t tell her directly, she found out through family.”
They added to OK! Magazine: “She’s happy for them both and says life goes on but at the same time, she’s shocked by how quickly he’s moved on and that he’ll be a new dad again at nearly 50.

Shortly after reports emerged over the weekend, Frida took to the social media platform to share her gratitude after fans rushed to share their well wishes.

Frida replied to the social media user with a prayer hand emoji.
