Loose Women host Linda Robson, 63, gave her thoughts on former panellist Saira Khan’s departure from the show. She also revealed her relationship with the other Loose Women on the show.

The Birds of a Feather actress confirmed that she still keeps in touch with Saira, despite her dramatic exit from the show.

She even went so far as to call her former co-star “a wonderful Loose Woman”.

“I love Saira, I think she was a really good Loose Woman as well.

“We still stay in touch. We take our kids out together, my grandchildren and her kids,” she told the Daily Star at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards on Saturday.

Linda was then asked if there were any behind the scenes feuds between her co-stars, but she confirmed that she had good relationships with all of them.

She said: “We don’t really get p****d off with another, we all get on really well honestly we really really do.

“There’s not one woman that I don’t want to be on with, it’s like going to work with your mates every day.”

Saira, 51, recently admitted she felt her future in daytime television was over after she admitted she only “tolerated” her Loose Women co-stars after leaving the show earlier this year.

She announced her departure shortly after rumours started circulating about a growing rift between herself and co-stars Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan, Carol McGiffin and Jane Moore.

Taking to social media, Saira went on to hint that she didn’t “get on” with all her colleagues equally.

“Right then – let’s put this baby to bed!

“Is there anyone out there who totally loves and gets on with all their colleagues in their organisation?

“If you do – good on you,”  she told her 99,100 Instagram followers.

“But from my life experience I can tell you, I have been in many work situations where I’ve got on with some and not others – but in order to get the job done I’ve tolerated people, like they’ve tolerated me, for the bigger picture and because it’s professional to get on, despite differences, to get the job done.

She continued: “I can tell you for a fact, that in the world of TV there is no-one that gets on with everyone they work with – it’s just that I am honest enough to say it and that’s what shocks people.

“I left that show on my terms and I am proud that I controlled my exit.

“I know the risk I took doing it that way – basically that I won’t be invited to any daytime shows anytime soon – but that price I was willing to pay because I’m not that desperate to be on the telly!”

“What’s important in my life is feeling that I am doing right by me, my family, friends and values – I was not prepared to keep working in an environment that didn’t make me happy anymore – it wasn’t empowering and honestly I was becoming someone I was not.

“I will say it again, there are some people who I still am very close to on Loose Women, but there are others that I am very happy never to cross their path again – why , because they are not the type of people I would choose to be friends with in my ‘real’ life – just as they would not choose me if they had a choice.”

Saira went on to clarify that she would “never” disclose which stars she “tolerated” because that is “no one’s business” but her own.
