Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have responded to reports that they have split, two years after getting engaged.
Singer JLo, 51, and former baseball star Alex, 45, were said to have parted ways four years after they began dating and two years into their engagement earlier this week.
But, now the pair have denied the split. The couple told TMZ in a statement: “All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.”
Meanwhile, a source told People the pair are working through a “rough patch”.

The insider said: “They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up.”
The source added that the pair are currently working through things long distance as they explained: “She's working in the Dominican Republic and he's in Miami so it's tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID.”
“But they want to try to stay together,” the insider insisted.
Jennifer and Alex were forced to postpone their wedding twice last year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Jennifer, who recently looked unrecognisable as she showcased an edgy pixie cut, explained in December 2020: “We had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know.”
She continued to tell Access Hollywood: “I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out.’ There’s no rush, we’re good, everything’s cool and it’ll happen when the time is right.
“I feel like it’s not a huge priority to go and have a big wedding right now, that’s not what life is about.”
Prior to this, she told the Today Show in May that she was “a little heartbroken” over postponing their wedding as they had “some great plans”.

She added: “But I’m also like, you know what? God has a bigger plan so we just have to wait and see. Maybe it's going to be better.”
Alex popped the question in a romantic beach proposal during a trip to the Bahamas in 2019.
After the pair shared their happy news with photos on Instagram, Alex thanked fans for their messages of congratulations.
He wrote: “There aren't many words to share with you, only feelings. Gratitude. Excitement. And just… joy. We know there is work to do to keep building a family and future we can be proud of, and we can't do it without all of you. We are so thankful for all your messages of support and congratulations.”
JLo has been married three times before. She wed Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998. She then went on to wed Cris Judd in 2001 but they split in 2003. The singer then married Marc Anthony in 2004 and shares twins Emme and Maximilian, both 13, with him before they parted ways in 2014.
