Janet Jackson Nominated For Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Janet Jackson has been nominated to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2019 class.
She joins a long list of nominees, including Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Rage Against the Machine, the Zombies the Cure, Devo Todd Rundgren LL Cool J MC5 and Radiohead.
In all, 15 artists were nominated this year, out of which, seven are first time nominees.
The inductees are selected on the basis of votes they get from the Hall’s voting body, which consists of more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry. Besides, the top five nominees who get the most votes from a “fan’s ballot” also will get a chance to find a place among the Hall Of Famers.
Fans can take part in the voting up to December 9 on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s website, or by visiting the museum in Cleveland. The inductees will be announced after that.
The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 29.
