James Jordan labels Meghan and Harry doc ‘trash’ in heated row with Dancing On Ice star

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan did not mince his words on Friday as he dubbed Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle’s new tell all documentary series “trash” on Twitter.

Since the highly anticipated Netflix series Harry & Meghan dropped on Thursday, countless celebrities have been sharing their thoughts on both the content of the series and the decision to make it all, with James himself being no exception.

It was while discussing the show with Dancing on Ice professional Mark Hanretty that things became a little more heated, as the pair debated who needed to “be kind” in the entire situation.

The debate was first sparked by Mark on Twitter, as he lambasted the British press for being so “negative” about the series, without ever really giving it a chance.

He wrote: “The British press this morning just continue to showcase how negative they are.

“I am sad I live in a country that celebrates negativity in their media.

“Misery loves company and it’s just so depressing seeing the influence such negativity can have on the masses.

Quick to clap back at the statement, James soon weighed in as he insisted the Sussexes “should have thought about that too” and that kindness “works both ways”.

He remarked: "'Be kind' ??? Maybe they should have thought about that too buddy. Works both ways. Be kind until it’s time not to be kind."

However, Mark doubled down on his earlier attack on the press, as again he complained about their negativity surrounding the controversial series.

He wrote: “Whatever everyone thinks of Harry and Meghan, who’ll be the first to stand down, choose positive news rather than moaning, shaming & complaining?

“Is it because the media know the British public will only buy that trash? Or brits only buy that trash because that’s what they’re fed?”

Seemingly agreeing with him, James then responded: “And Brits watch the trash they are in on Netflix – slagging off our Monarchy and traditions. Only pointing out what most people think mate.

"I wish more people were like you – but they are not unfortunately mate and we need to stand up to them.”

Although James appeared to have strong feelings about the series, he did reveal on Thursday he had no intention of actually watching it.

He tweeted: “Is it just me that has absolutely no interest in watching Harry and Meghan on Netflix?”

Understandably the star’s comment section soon blew up with messages from fans, with some even criticising James for talking about it, if he had no intention of watching it.

“Why are people who dislike them and against what they're doing still obsessed about talking about them?” They asked.

A number of other followers also urged viewers to watch the show “with an open mind” and some neutrality, in order to gain a “bit more understanding” about Harry and Meghan’s decisions.
