Fred was unaware of his death as he was away in Australia filming, I’m A Celeb and the celebrities have no contact with the outside world.
After wrapping up the series he recently arrived back in the UK after his stint on the ITV reality show.
He was the third celebrity to be voted out after he was in the bottom two with Danielle Harold last week.
Fred was involved in a string of rows with This Morning star Josie Gibson which seem to be re-ignited.
The First Dates star took another swipe at Josie, 38, after he was left raging over the star during her time as camp chef on I’m A Celebrity.
On his way back to the hotel after being axed third, Fred told his partner Fruitcake about the camp cooking drama.
He said: “When you cook in camp, you have to cook fast because everyone is very hungry and you have to know when to cook the ingredients to get the best out of them.”
Fred added: “I’m just watching a car crash in real time and the thing that makes it worse is she doesn’t listen.”
