Ex CBeebies presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell recreates naked snap that got her fired

Former CBeebies presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell has recreated the infamous image that got her fired from her former job a decade ago on Monday, November 1.

The 47 year old star was let go from her previous role as a children’s TV host when she made the bold move to pose semi-naked for a Peta campaign.

She lay on a giant plate of food in Trafalgar Square at the time, but didn’t realise just how life-changing her decision to stand up for a cause she felt passionate about would be.

Now the star, who was host of popular shows such as Zingzillas, Tikkabilla and Mighty Mites, has shared a new snap of her lying on a roof naked, as she looked up to the camera with her hands and positioning strategically covering up her modesty.

In a passionate essay, the mum-of-two reflected on how the trajectory of her career changed dramatically.

Sarah-Jane also admitted she was grateful now as otherwise she never would have met her husband – Hollyoaks actor Ayden Callaghan – whom she shares sons Phoenix, six, and Indiana, three, with.

"It’s 10 years to the day that a picture was taken that changed the projection of my life completely," the star began her post. "To celebrate the changes that #cancelculture propelled me towards, here is a similar picture taken on my roof today, 10 years later. This time though, I’m asking you to ‘Relate to what’s on someone’s plate’ #bekind #bekindtoyourself."

She insisted that "we're all in this together" and everyone can learn to "get along", but Sarah-Jane also addressed the speculation on how she got the sack from CBeebies in the first place.

"The truth is there was already a producer that hated me & wanted to get rid of me," the former presenter claimed. "This picture merely lit the match to a bonfire that had already been built for me.

"Im so grateful though & I now know, even when life doesn’t go the way you want it to, things can turn out better than you wished for anyway."

Along with feeling so grateful she met her husband and had the opportunity to build her family, Sarah-Jane also told her 7,532 followers she "would never have known real happiness" without that career hiccup, and admitted she will always be "impulsive" so has to continue being true to herself.

What's more, a decade later Sarah-Jane revealed she's also back working for the BBC and told her fans that "more than anything else, I am proof that no matter what life throws at you, as long as your children & family are safe, happy & well then nothing else really matters".

The star encouraged her fans to always "embrace the day" and if they wanted to be naked at 37 or 47 then to embrace doing that too.

"Enjoy your life & always be kind – because no matter how you feel about another human being, we are all part of the same tribe & we all deserve to live a happy supported life you are not your job," Sarah-Jane added. "You are not your salary or even where you live.

"You are not what other people think of you…..You are you & to be alive means everything. #livelifenow."

Taking to the comments, Sarah-Jane’s fans and friends came out in their droves to support her powerful reflections.

"You are so beautiful," one fan gushed over the poignant image, as another follower wrote: "Here for this all day every day."

While a third agreed with Sarah Jane’s sentiment, saying: "Embrace the day," as a fourth fan encouraged: "Love this you’re amazing," followed by: "Don't go changing."

The former TV star’s own husband also commented with a series of love heart and fire emojis.
