Blake Lively makes Met Gala entrance of the night as she unwraps gown on red carpet
Blake Lively stole the show at the 2022 Met Gala last night, as her stunning copper-coloured Versace gown transformed into a turquoise number, after the untying of a huge bow at her waist.
The former Gossip Girl star, 34, looked incredible as she posed up a storm alongside her husband, Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds, 45.
Blake rocked up to the red carpet in a bejewelled gown with an extravagant train, giant bow and matching copper-coloured silk gloves that stretched past her elbow.
She paired the look with dangly turquoise and copper earrings and a tiara that pulled her long golden hair away from her face as it fell in glamorous waves down to her waist.
The unforgettable moment that sealed her as the “Queen” of the Met Gala came as three assistants helped to untie the dresses’ giant bow, which revealed a mesmerising turquoise train that flowed out behind her.
She also switched her gloves to silk turquoise numbers, and rocked the red carpet as she worked the cameras.
Her adoring husband clearly appreciated his wife’s sartorial style as he applauded her when the turquoise part of the dress was unveiled.
The look also earned the actress – and co-chair of this year’s event – a wealth of praise from her adorning fans, who took to social media in their droves to comment on her look.
One Twitter user declared she was "QUEEN OF THE MET GALA!”
Another said: "Blake F***'n Lively, Ladies, Gentlemen and Theys!!! #MetGala #MetGala2022 ," while a fourth gushed: "when you know exactly what is required of you… this is how you look."
Someone else created a collage, comparing Blake to the Statue of Liberty and wrote: "She was insane for this #MetGala ."
Blake’s husband, Ryan, looked dapper in a black tuxedo, complete with a crisp white shirt, waistcoat and bow tie, with a pocket watch to complete the look.
Later on, for the Met Gala afterparty, Blake changed into a cherry-red mini dress which was adorned with black beads and featured a capped shoulder detailing.
She teamed it with strappy black court shoes and wore her hair swept back in an elegant chignon.
The mother-of-three also changed up her Met Gala makeup to match the look, swapping from delicate pink-hued makeup to a more sultry look, with dark eyeshadow.
On her fingers, she wore chunky costume jewellery as she smiled for the waiting cameras.
