The BAFTAs 2020 were looking a little different than expected this year, as fans got glammed up for a socially distanced awards ceremony on Friday night amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Leading the stars, Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer took to Instagram to share a snap of herself in an amazing mixed-printed maxi dress as she marked the ceremony with a home BBQ.
“BAFTA is looking a little different this year…” penned the 27 year old.

Adding: “I’ve swapped the Royal Festival Hall for a BBQ in the back garden!! Shout out to the legend General Manager at Liverpool Parcelforce who hand delivered this beautiful @duroolowu dress to me this morning.
“After saying I was going to wear my pyjamas to this year’s BAFTAs I nearly got what I wished for! And thanks to @noblepanacea for the glow. Congratulations to all the nominees, let’s dance!”
And Jodie, who is nominated for Leading Actress as assassin Villanelle, wasn’t alone in her attempts to celebrate the BAFTAs while social distancing at home.

Dr Foster star Suranne Jones also joined in with the celebration and posted a snap with her signature top hat in a nod to character Anne Lister.
Suranne, 41, penned: “Happy BAFTA day: tonight at 7pm. Good luck to all the nominees.
'The Gentleman Jack team are very honoured to have been included in the Drama series category. With so much content out there to choose from.. this is already a massive win for us.”

Other stars wowing in their BAFTAs attire for the Friday evening ceremony included Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack who wowed in a gorgeous mint dress and took to BAFTAs social media channels to share an insight into the awards.
Emily, who was one of the first to arrive at the socially distanced ceremony, donned a beautiful suit with a black strappy top underneath and wore her blonde locks in a high pony.

As well, Strictly Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley attended the awards, looking glam in a black gown.
And viral stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal of Normal People fame reunited as they posed humorously with a tape measure between them to signal social distancing.
The Bafta TV 2020 awards are being held on July 31 and will be broadcast on BBC One at 7pm.
