Ashley Cain has admitted that he’s finding grief “more difficult” as time goes on, following daughter Azaylia’s tragic death last month.

Ex On The Beach star Ashley, 30, opened up on his emotions in a post on his Instagram story on Wednesday 5 May.

Ashley filmed his feet, with him wearing the orange trainers in honour of his late daughter Azaylia, who tragically died in April following a lengthy battle with a rare form of leukemia.

He then panned the camera upwards to show his view, which consisted of a large pond surrounded by trees and bushes.

The reality star then opened up to his 1.9million supporters as he wrote on top of the clip: “Coping seemed more difficult than usual today so I decided to run somewhere and try and find a little peace” alongside a leaf emoji.

Ashley, who’s girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee recently revealed she struggles through the day and night, has been using his passion for running to help cope with the tragic loss of his daughter.

He posted a photo of his new orange trainers on his Instagram grid earlier this week.

Writing next to the image, Ashely explained to his supporters: “Right now, It’s taking everything I have to begin each new day.

“The pain of not being able to see my little girl is consuming my whole body.

“So this afternoon, I put on my new running trainers that I bought after Azaylia gained her angle wings.

“I got them in orange to represent Azaylia and her battle, in the hope they would inspire me to get out and work through the pain.”

Ashley added: “For days I’ve wondered when I would have the strength to put them on and hit the road.

“The truth is, I don’t feel strong, I feel far from it. But in times of weakness, I have come to think… ‘What would Azaylia do?’

“She would be strong, she would be courageous and she would get up, get out, and do what is needed to be done.

“She would push through every challenge with intent and without hesitation. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

“I guess the pain will never fade and things will not get easier, but we will get stronger.”

Ashley and girlfriend Safiyya’s baby girl Azaylia was born on 10 August last year.

At just eight weeks old Azaylia was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of blood cancer.

The baby girl’s diagnosis and treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital had been chronicled throughout her short life on social media by her devoted parents Safiyya and Ashley.

Azaylia had multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, before the family were given the devastating news that the tot’s cancer had returned.

Before her tragic death, the parents made a final attempt to save Azaylia’s life and raised £1million for her to received specialist treatment in Singapore.

Days later, Ashley shared the heartbreaking news that doctors believed Azaylia had just days to live after they found tumours throughout her body.
