Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's engagement reportedly called off
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly called off their engagement after six months of dating.
Rumours of a split began circulating hours after the God Is a Woman singer cancelled a Saturday performance at the last minute. According to TMZ, the pair decided to separate over the weekend.
While neither Grande nor Davidson has confirmed the reports, sources have told People their intense romance was “too much too soon”.
In the past, Grande has been quick to rubbish incorrect reports on their relationship, as well as call-out fans for leaving nasty comments – but so far, she's remained quiet about the recent rumours.
Grande and her Saturday Night Live-star fiancé became engaged in May after dating for just a few weeks. The pop star's engagement ring reportedly cost around $140,000, with the pair also sporting matching tattoos within the first weeks of their relationship.
They recently adopted a baby pig together and live in a $28 million Manhattan apartment that boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a private theatre.
It's been a difficult few weeks for Grande. In September, her ex-boyfriend of two years, Mac Miller, died from a fatal overdose just months after the pair called it quits in May.
The 25-year-old had been outspoken about their toxic relationship but remained close with the rapper. After his death, she paid tribute to her "dearest friend".
"I'm so sad I don't know what to do," she wrote on Instagram. "I'm so sorry I couldn't fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you're OK now."
