Amanda Seyfried and husband Thomas Sadoski welcome second child in secret

Amanda Seyfriend and her husband Thomas Sadoski have welcomed their second child together.

The Mamma Mia actress, 34, and Thomas confirmed the arrival of their newborn son via the official Instagram page for INARA (International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance), sharing the first photo of their bundle of joy with its followers.

The charity that works alongside War Child is close to the heart of Amanda and her family, with the star and her husband first working with the organisations following the birth of their daughter Nina, three.

Alongside a picture of Amanda’s baby boy, the caption read: ‘We are so happy to join with @warchildusa to be the first to announce that our board members @mingey and @thomas_sadoski welcomed their second child into this world.’

It included a statement from Amanda, following the birth of her son, that read: ‘Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally effected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives. With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.’

The post included the hashtags: ‘#AmandaSeyfried #ThomasSadoski #Babyborn #Secondchild #Newborn #INARA #WarChild.’

The Instagram account for War Child shared the same photo and statement, as they confirmed Amanda and Thomas’ baby joy with their own post.

It read: ‘We are so happy to join with INARA to be the first to announce that our ambassadors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski welcomed their second child into this world.’

Neither Amanda or Thomas have addressed their baby news on their own social media accounts.

The arrival of their baby boy will come as a surprise to fans, as Amanda had kept her pregnancy away from the public eye and hadn’t announced she was expecting again.

She and her actor husband Thomas, who is best known for playing Don Keefer in the HBO series The Newsroom, tied the knot in 2017, when Amanda was nine-months pregnant with their daughter.

Speaking last year, Amanda shared her hopes of expanding her family, but admitted she ‘wasn’t ready’ to have another baby just yet.

She told People in August 2019: ‘If it happens to you, you just make it work. I want to get pregnant again, but I’m not ready just yet to have a second.

‘I would like my daughter to be in school and then have my own time with a new bay, but it’s so hard to plan.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Amanda’s rep for comment.
