Love Island star Curtis Pritchard’s mum plans emotional meeting with Amy Hart

The mother of Love Island star Curtis Pritchard wants to meet up with Amy Hart – who was famously dumped by her son.

Debi Pritchard told how she wanted to hug devastated Amy, who quit the ITV2 show after things turned sour with ballroom dancer Curtis, 23.

Amy, 26, walked out after Curtis said he didn’t share the same feelings as her – then made a move on Maura Higgins, 28.

Debi, 57, explained: “I would like to meet Amy. My heartache is there for Amy and for the parents.

“When I watched the moment when Curtis told her how he felt, I couldn’t stop crying because of all the emotion. I wanted to reach out and give Amy a hug.

“I was thinking of Amy’s mum a lot and I’m so happy Amy is with her family unit now because I know she will be fine and her and Curtis will be friends.”

Former BA stewardess Amy will also meet Curtis’ brother, Strictly Come Dancing star AJ, in Sunday’s episode of Aftersun hosted by Caroline Flack.

Amy has spoken of anxiety issues in the past and Curtis has taken a lot of stick since she quit the Love Island villa on Majorca.

But Debi insisted: “I was absolutely not ashamed of Curtis.

It takes a very big person to end something in a very honest way.”

She also told how she raised her sons to respect women, adding: “I chose to decide that the women in Curtis and AJ’s life were always right.

“I wanted them to have total respect for the emotions of women because their emotions are more complicated than the average male emotions.

“They were brought up to put their ladies first, because that’s what I believe in. But at the same time I’ve said please, please don’t lie and be as truthful and honest as you can be. The consequences of that can hurt people.”
