Coronation Street spoilers: David Platt horrified as Josh Tucker star reveals return?

In some harrowing scenes last year on Coronation Street, David (played by Jack P. Shepherd) was completely devastated after being raped by evil predator Josh (Ryan Clayton).

Josh drugged David before sexually assaulting him and the aftermath rocked David’s whole family as he struggled to come to terms with what had happened.

After David got Josh to admit to what he did to him after threatening to hand him in to the police, David finally felt like he could move on with his life and Josh hasn’t been seen since.

But now he’s set to come back to the Street and the actor behind the role has teased the comeback to the ITV soap.

The actor shared to Twitter: ”Oh it’s b****y good to be walking on this cobbled street again!”

He accompanied the post with a snap of the street with the Rovers Return in the frame.

Legal justice wasn’t served for Josh during his last stint, but could it be delivered this time?

A lack of evidence meant Josh wasn’t charged the first time round but David could prise another confession out of him.

David is currently serving time behind bars himself for his involvement in the theft of grandmother Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) money.

Brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) managed to get away without any jail time, instead receiving a two-year suspended sentence.

But David was still out on licence after savagely attacking Gary Windass (Mikey North) last year.

Subsequently, it could be that David comes face-to-face with Josh again in prison.

Although Josh wasn’t convicted for the rape, he may be inside on another charge.

David would not be happy to see him of course, but especially seeing as David’s sentence is partly down to Josh.

Traumatised after the assault by Josh, David took his anger and frustrations out on Gary during a charity boxing match.

While it was David doing the hitting, it wouldn’t have ended up like that if it weren’t for Josh.

Can David get through seeing the man who almost destroyed his life?

Elsewhere, David’s adoptive son Max Turner (Harry McDermott) will feel the effects of his absence in upcoming scenes.

He lies to Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) about taking his ADHD medication and lashes out at Nick.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
